This gage has a leak detector that is a small brass ball that is forced into the inside of the gage and will stop or restrict the flow. It will be activated and stop the flow when you turn on the tank with your grill in the on position. It will also stop the flow if you turn on the gas with no grill attached. To reset the “leak detector” turn off the tank gas valve then remove the gage. This allows the the small brass ball to free up and allow gas to flow. Put the gage back making sure the grill is off and open the tank valve. This should work. The ball may also shut off the gas if the tank is tipped or even moved when the gas is on.walmart.com
